Marvel Studios: Existing Gay Character to Feature in MCU
The Director of the action-filled movie, Avenger’s endgame have recently revealed that it’s Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) will be going multi-platform. Disclosed on EW Morning, Anthony and Joe revealed that they will be featuring a gay character in an upcoming movie and interestingly, it’s one of the Marvel’s characters that we have longed known.
This news, however arose when the host Dalton Ross and Jessica Shaw questioned Joe about his role as as a grief-stricken gay man in a therapy session including Evans’- Steve Rogers. Joe’s character had revealed he went on a date for the first time since the snap made by Thanos, and describes the somewhat dinner with the other man who was also still mourning.
“It was an integral scene to show how the world was reacting to what happened in at the end of Infinity War”, Joe explained.
When questioned if there were other gay characters, he replied “We are going to find out”, adding that there’ve been insinuations about other characters’ sexuality, but this is the first openly gay character so far”.
However, it would be recalled that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has hinted in June 2018, that there would be two gay characters in Marvel future films. “There is a gay character coming up in one of their films, and I think Kevin will make that announcement, I’m sure pretty soon,” Joe added
