Newlyweds Are Going On Separate Honeymoons Without Their Spouses, Report Says

The Honeymoon is reportedly ended.

Obviously, newlyweds are no longer celebrating their first week of wedded bliss viewing sunsets in the Caribbean or even sightseeing in Dubai.

Instead, couples are now booking separate vacations, according to a new report. The new research disclosed that 1 in 4 Americans reported they get more out of travel when they go alone.

Quite beyond for ‘till death do us apart’.

Perhaps, what will make newlyweds who decided to tie the knot and spend their lives together,  take the chances of separating for honeymoon.

Taking the Time’s article as an example, two couples couldn’t just agree on a post-wedding venue for their honeymoon. The Groom had wanted to go to France to watch football, while the bride wanted another destination.

So she did travel to see a friend in Toronto while her husband went to Europe to watch the soccer match with his brother.

On the other hand, there’s another couple who had gone on a separate work trip after getting married. While the groom appeared not enjoying his moment alone in Paris, he walked past an Eiffel Tower and was down till he called his new bride. Apparently, she was busy in a meeting.

“It’s a very individualistic, modern practice of efficiency over everything else,” that groom said. “I think that it’s tied with workaholism and being on the work-and-spend treadmill when you can’t even coordinate one of the most important times of your life together.”
