Scientists Say Tall Husbands And Short Wives Have The Happiest Marriages
Our brain apparently has been the person responsible for our choice of partner and interest. As if we don’t know that, but researcher Kitae Sohn has a new fact to add: women do prefer taller men intrinsically. Appearance does matter.
7,850 women were surveyed during the test, revealing that women prefer taller men, but are unable to explain why. While this does matter much in choosing your partner, it appears to be an attraction that only lasts for 18 years into the marriage (which is still something!) as the study concludes.
Meanwhile, in another study with 601 women involved, women claim that it’s uncomfortable to look down to a man’s eyes. They also like to be able to wear high heels and still be shorter than their men. They want to feel safe and delicate in front of their men and be able to stretch their arms to reach around his neck.
Without trying to offend men who are below the average height, this research shows there’s an inexplainable direct correlation between height and intelligence. Taller people are shown with better intelligence in general.
Another research reveals that taller men are also more successful based on the statistics. For example, men who are 6′ tall have higher chances of earning $166,000 in within 30 years than men who are 5’5 tall. Every inch of height can mean 2 to 2.5 percents better earning according to another research.
Being tall also allows them to have that dominating appearance and it’s also a fact that tall men often participate in social activities. This study shows there is a correlation between being tall and having a better social status.
Researcher Boguslaw Pawlowski believes that above everything else (maybe even ‘true love’?), taller men are more important for a happy marriage in his study. The ideal number is for men to be 1.09 times taller than women.
