Indian Man Hasn’t Washed His Six-Foot Dreadlocks In 40 Years Calls Them A ‘Blessing From God’
Dirty Hair!! An Indian man, who hasn’t washed his hair in forty years acknowledged his six-foot dreadlocks is a blessing from God.
Aged 63, Sakal Dev Tuddu normally wears his mat of hair on top of his head like a turban. From Munger District of Eastern Bihar State, Tuddu explained that his hair spontaneously wove in one night into a Jatta/dreadlocks – which he accepted as a divine blessing.
He revealed that God visited him in a dream and told him not to ever cut his hair – an instruction he had adhered to ever since. Accordingly, Tuddu said he had to give up drinking and smoking as a devotion to his deity. Nevertheless, the Sadhus, Hindu Holy Men goes without grooming their hair as they appear in long Jattas.
Unlike the Sadhus, Tuddu hair is plaited into a hug knotted locks and he ties it up in a white cloth when he goes out. If he doesn’t stack his locks up, he would trail it on the ground. Specifically, his neighbors have named him ‘Mahatma Ji’ as a mean of respect for his holy appearance and humble being.
Popularly known as a traditional healer and a home-made treatments herbalist for childless pairs, a lot of people come from far and wide to meet Sakal just to take a photo picture as well as appreciate him for all the good humor.
However, Sakal Dev has worked for the forest department for about 31 years and currently lives with wife, Rupiya Devi, 3 Sons, 3 Daughters and with even 7 grandchildren.
