‘Resident Evil’ Reboot Sees Chris Evans And Scarlett Johanson In An Awesome Poster
Thoughts?
‘Resident Evil’ started off well with intense atmosphere and a lot of slicing and blood. But as the film franchise advances, it’s always been met with terrible reviews, but enough budget loyal fans throw in to keep the show going.
A new reboot has been confirmed with Johannes Roberts confirmed to be the new writer with an all-new cast. Speaking to ScreenRant, the director is making sure that the new reboot will tap much closer to the essence that has made the video game series popular and loved: horror.
“We are in active development of that at the moment. I pitched them a take, and they really loved it. So, we are just gearing up on that as we speak, really. I’m in the office all the time there. So, yeah, it’s great. It’s gonna be super scary. It’s super, super scary. And it’s just getting back to the roots of the game. I think, at the moment, I’m not really allowed to say much more than that. But it’s gonna be a lot of fun.”
Recently, bosslogic posted what appears to be a fanmade poster of the new reboot on Instagram. The poster shows realistic Chris Evans acting as Leon and Scarlett Johansson as Claire Redfield.
The essential of the game was having players being trapped and using their brain to get out of a pinchy situation. Bullets are limited, simple mistakes can lead to gruesome deaths and suspense behind doors always come up with disgusting, scary, wailing zombies. On the other hand, it seems that the franchise previously failed to live up to this with the unlimited bullets and clones going on.
Not much is known yet of the movie, but it’ll certainly be exciting to wait for.
