If there is a time when different fandoms can unite, that would be when their show is returning at the same time. Let’s start one by one.
Star Wars spin-off ‘The Mandalorian’ had an amazing reception especially when it comes to baby Yoda. Needless to say it is in a smooth progress for the return of a second season in October according to Disney chief Bob Iger.
Next, we all know Captain America handed over his shield to his successor who’s no other than Falcon. ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ will have their own series which will debut this year as well August. They will be followed by ‘WandaVision’ which debuts later in December.
And we have Loki in the trailer as well, but news has it that Loki won’t be airing before 2021.
Iger sees this as a win with his choice of going for quality instead of quantity. The platform has earned 28.6 million paying subscribers. In his earning reports, Iger mentioned, “We had a strong first quarter, highlighted by the launch of Disney+, which has exceeded even our greatest expectations.”
“Thanks to our incredible collection of brands, outstanding content from our creative engines and state-of-the-art technology, we believe our direct-to-consumer services, including Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu, position us well for continued growth in today’s dynamic media environment.”
