Nvidia Launches RTX Studio Laptops, Sold From $1,599
Models Available in June.
Keeping tabs on the ongoing Computex Taipei 2019 Exhibition, Nvidia kicked off the show by introducing a new brand software-hardware initiative for creators, alongside an extensive lineup of laptops to support it.
Disclosing that the new RTX Studio Laptops – depending on specifications will be sold from $1,599, Nvidia also revealed that first models will be available in June. Nvidia had always been known for its collection of API’s and SDK’s as well as drivers for Nvidia RTX GPUs designs for boosting performance and efficiency in software.
During the event, Nvidia also asserted that its new RTX Studio Laptop with a Core i7 CPU and with a RTX 2080 Max-Q GPU is seven times faster than a MacBook Pro with a Core i9 and AMD’s Radeon Pro Vegan 20 graphics in apps like RedCine- X Pro and Maya.
Similarly, Nvidia mentioned that its Studio Drivers which are being renamed from Creator–Ready Drivers are tested against software like Adobe, AutoDesk, Blackmagic Design and Epic, adding that App developers can now make use of the CUDA-X AI software for automation of specific tasks that includes video color matching and image upscalling.
Alongside Nvidia, 7 PC manufacturers – Acer, Asus, Gigabyte, HP, Dell, Razer, and MSI will equally be announcing 17 RTX Studio branded laptops between them at Computex. Reportedly, the laptops will have options for Quadro 5000, 4000 and 3000 models, and RTX 2080, 2070 and 2060 GPUs – these are from NVidia’s workstation collection.
