Margot Robbie kicked off this trailer of her solo performance after ‘Suicide Squad’ disbanded by explaining what a harlequin is.
‘Suicide Squad’ may not have the best critics, nailing only 27% in Rotten Tomatoes and 49% for its audience score. Still, a lot of people loved Harley Quinn in that movie – her devotion to love, her insanity despite her cleverness and simply her sense of humor that never dissipates no matter how dangerous the situation is.
Watching the trailer won’t explain to you what’s going on in the movie, except for a group of women, led by an insane ex-psychiatrist, trying to bust out from somewhere. And she seems to have taken singing opera to a liking.
Thank you, IMDb, for the summary:
“After splitting with the Joker, Harley Quinn joins superheroes Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to save a young girl from an evil crime lord, Black Mask in Gotham City.”
Casting in this movie beside Margot Robbie as her titular character Harley Quinn are Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya and Ewan McGregor as the evil crime lord in Gotham City.
The movie was directed by Cathy Yan and if you haven’t notice yet, it’s also Harley trying to get a new fresh start in life after breaking up with puddin’, Jared Leto’s Joker.
Movie is crashing into theaters with her insane group of female superheroes and vigilantes on February 7, 2020.
