Hobbyist Paints Eyes On Rocks And Returns Them to Nature To Be Found Or Lost Forever

Jennifer Allnutt was on a residency with Q Bank Gallery in Queenstown when she wandered on an idea to transform collected tocks and painting eyes on them. She later returned the rocks to the landscape to be found by anyone wandering about or lost forever

The town has a rich mining history, which over time has left many unusual rocks that provide a huge variety of canvas for Jennifer’s art project.

So she began a collection and now what started as a personal hobby cum project has now turned into a community treasure hunt.
