Neil Patrick Harris And David Burtka Celebrate 15 Years Anniversary Since Going On Their First Date

“You’re the sweetest! I love you!”

Since their initial met and first date, Neil Patrick Harris and husband David Burtka took to their social media to celebrate 15 years anniversary. The ‘How I Met Your Mother’ star shared an intimate photo of him and husband in a hot water lake with a touching caption saying he’s grateful for having Burtka in his life.

“My first date with David was 15 years ago today, and we’ve been nearly inseparable ever since. I’m so, so grateful to this gorgeous man for giving me his heart, his shoulder, his strength, his lust, his laughter, his joy,” he captioned the picture.

He added, “He’s an actor, chef, author, singer, producer, and the most wonderful, selfless parent I’ve ever seen. A sextuple threat, if you will. And I most certainly will. Happy 15th Anniversary, @delicious. You keep making all my dreams come true. #love.”

I wasn’t a big Doogie Howser fan — I had probably seen it once or twice when I was growing up — so I gave him a, ‘Hey, what’s up, nice to meet you,’ and that was really it. I thought it would be nice to know him, but I didn’t think in a million years I’d start dating him.”
