The Witcher Season 1 TV Show Filming Recently Wrapped Up

The Witcher is based on novels and video games that revolves around a witcher named Geralt. Henry Cavill is starring in this TV show of The Witcher as a genetically enhanced warrior of Rivia. His physical body is enhanced to increase his durability and skills.

The witcher hunts down monster and Geralt usually carries two types of swords: a steel one to fight humans and a silver one to fight monsters.

Cavill’s Geralt will be journeying across the Continent with Princess Ciri, played by Freya Allan and skillful sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg who will be played by Anya Chalotra.

Henry Cavill took it to the Instagram to announce the wrap up of the filming with a picture of him getting his make up done as the Witcher.

Season 1 of The Witcher has finally come to an end. And although I'm pulling a face here it has been an incredible journey! The cast and crew worked tirelessly throughout, everyone pitched in and brought their A game to set and I couldn't be more proud of you all. Speaking of my immediate team. The Witcher is a highly anticipated show that features similar atmosphere to the Game of Thrones. However, much like books and games that come with their own fandom, the show will be highly criticized and scrutinized. But, fingers crossed for the hope that it’s going to be a great show!

The show is set to be live on Netflix late this year. A trailer is yet to be released, but it wouldn’t be for long!
