17-Year-Old’s Hilariously Viral TikTok Of Her Cat Is Taking Over The Internet

Jade and Ed went crazy viral with this one TikTok video.

Jade Taylor-Ryan is 17-year-old, loves soccer and owns a cat. Guess what made her famous in a matter of HOURS. It was Ed. It’s a cat, her cat, to be precise and all these started from a simple video editing Jade did and uploaded on TikTok.

But dang did it made us all happy and went viral because Ed was a great model for the 1954 ‘Mr. Sandman’ song.

“I put my phone on the floor and set a timer on it so I didn’t have to use my hands to film. I then timed when my cat would pop up in the frame based on the beat of the music,” says Jade in an email to BuzzFeed News explaining how it’s done.

“Ed is very chill! We pick him up and move him around all the time and he doesn’t really care, so I figured I would be able to do the same thing for the video. Turns out, I was right!” she continued because Ed seems totally unfazed throughout the video.

She was using the nine-split screen of the same video but in milliseconds late on every frame. But instead of 9, she had six. Thanks to her inspiration, everyone is now taking their oblivious cats and pups for the act (not grown dogs because… we’d need Dwayne Johnson to execute that perfectly).

It was a trend started by Enoch True who had 6 million followers.

On Instagram, the video was reposted by 9Gag’s adorable sister account, Meowed. It has 1.3m views now and is still raking up views every hour. Jade herself now has 43.5k fans with 1.5m hearts and guess what.

Ed has his own page now. The one and only sandmancat who can execute that dance with such a chill face.
