Melania Pays Tribute To Diana With Elegant Outfit At Buckingham Palace

Melania Trump joined president President Donald Trump for a royal luncheon hosted by the queen in Buckingham Palace. The first lady wore  a dress that is said to commemorate the late Princess Diana

The First Lady, 49, chose to go with an outfit that combined the late royal’s favorite colors-  Navy blue and white.

The custom-made Dolce & Gabbana dress featured a contrasting blue collar and flattering waist belt while her white Hervé Pierre hat was completed with a thick navy band around the brim.

The tailored ensemble is thought to closely resemble those commonly worn by Diana, to public engagements throughout the 1980s and early 1990s.

The outfit was Mrs. Trump’s third in 24 hours and her second today after she arrived in London wearing a Burberry blouse and Michael Kors skirt suit.

Celebrity stylist Rochelle White commented on the color combination saying: ‘Navy and white is really flattering and works well in Spring/ Summer. It isn’t as harsh as black and white and comes across much softer. It has that trendy, classic sleek look what works well for many occasions.

She added: ‘Melania’s outfit is well tailored and fitting but has a style edge that is suitable for her.’

The Presidential couple was invited by the Queen to a banquet at her majesty’s official residence. This marks the beginning of president Trump’s three- day state visit to the Uk.

President and Mrs Trump were greeted outside the palace by Her Majesty, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.

The President’s wife kept her look understated, pairing the navy skirt suit with vertiginous Christian Louboutin pumps in the same shade and a pair of chic black sunglasses.

Despite the blustery wind, Mrs. Trump was very composed as she stepped out onto the steps of Air Force One.

She joined her husband to wave from the top of the stairs before watching her step as she made her way down in the towering heels.

The couple boarded the helicopter once more to make the short flight to Buckingham Palace, where they landed on the lawn where Prince Charles was waiting to receive them.

The couple later joined the Queen, PrinceCharles, and princess Camilla for a private lunch at the palace. The Duke of Sussex was also expected to attend the banquet but without the company of his wife the Duchess of Sussex who is currently on maternity leave.

After lunch, the President and First Lady flew to Westminster Abbey, where they laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior. They will later join Charles for a brief meeting at Clarence House.
