Apple Now Lets Users Get Their iPhones Repaired From The Couch Of Their Home
For selected services in selected cities.
Instead of ringing the customer service, you can now let Apple ring your home and repair your iPhones and iPads from the comfort of your home. Apple has released a new service in selected region to repair their devices or gadgets at home.
This option is, however, only provided under certain circumstances as we also tried navigating to different issues to see if the option pops up. As a recommended option, you can choose ‘Schedule a Repair’ which reads “onsite service may be available” for selected locations.
An example when looking to repair cracked front screen for iPhones.
This service is also available only in the US and can only be booked through their official website, Official Apple Support. It also appears to be very limited in the kind of damage as well as device involved. Under the same physical damage, which is cracked front screen, the service is only available to iPhone users, not iPads.
The service has been made available in only 6 cities: San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Houston, and Dallas. This option also comes with a fee for onsite while details on how much is charged for that is still unclear.
