The Sun reported that Beyoncé is enthusiastic about bringing back the girls on stage. She wants to revive Destiny Child for their 20th anniversary together. The 36-year-old diva has contacted Michelle Williams, 39, and Kelly Rowland, 38 who agreed to her idea.
Before Destiny Child, the group was known as Girl Tyme. Michelle joined the group exactly 20 years ago if they hold the concert in 2020, which would be perfect. Not to mention that rumors are saying new tracks from the girls would be released and sung on their US and European tour.
The site mentions a source who says, “Beyonce has been desperate to get the girls back together with her in the studio and she can’t think of a better time than 2020 when they will be marking two decades as one of the world’s biggest all-female groups.”
“She saw the success of the Spice Girls tour and wants to replicate that — but far bigger and better. Beyonce has been meeting with Kelly and Michelle and discussing what they can do.”
Beyoncé who clearly shows the most promising and successful singing career moved on with solo projects.
“After a lot of discussions and some deep soul searching, we realized that our current tour has given us the opportunity to leave Destiny’s Child on a high note, united in our friendship and filled with an overwhelming gratitude for our music, our fans, and each other,” says the girls in an interview on MTV back in 2005.
Oh, it’s certainly exciting to see these independent women back on stage and slaying it!
