‘Forky’ The Toy Is Being Recalled By Disney For Choking Hazard
The irony.
Every movie of the Toy Story franchise comes with a new character that deserves a spotlight. ‘Toy Story 4’ has swept across the world with their hilarious takes on a toy that was not made in the factory. Featuring Forky, the toy who has it worst when it comes to an identity crisis, and Bonnie our lovely new owners of the toys, it has made every kid wants a Forky of their own.
Forky, voiced by Tony Hale, repeatedly tried to throw himself to the garbage can (meanwhile everyone in the show has been dreading the idea of being done so). Despite Bonnie creating and loving him, he felt strongly that he’s still trash. Meanwhile, Woody and friends try to help him to get it together.
Over 80,650 Forky has been sold all over the US and Canada. CPSC releases a statement to encourage parents to return the plush toy: “Consumers should immediately take the recalled toy away from children and return it to any Disney Store retail location, Walt Disney World, or Disneyland Resort theme park retail store location for a full refund.”
This is because Forky’s googly eyes that were attached with glue, can fall off and pose choking hazards to kids, according to Disney and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Along with this, people are also noticing that Pixar and Disney deleted a scene from Toy Story 2 in light of the MeToo movement. Since the movie is seen by kids, they’ve done the right movement that shows utmost care to children.
