Most millennial recognize Keanu Reeves from either the ‘Matrix’ trilogy or the recent blockbuster movie, ‘John Wick 3’. But he was actually the star of an 80s classic movie where he acted alongside Alex Winter. The 54-year-old actor is back with a clean-shaven face for the filming.

These images are taken from their first day of shooting and it’s been confirmed that the duo will return to reprise the same roles. 40 years later, Keanu Reeves is only looking even better than ever.

Thea and Billie will be acted by Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine respectively as Bill’s daughter and Ted’s daughter. Recurring characters in this sequel are Amy Stoch (Missy), Hal Landon Jr. (Ted’s father) and William Sadler (Death).

The pair is down to go through some inter-dimensional journey after a future figure warns them of how only their music can save lives.

As the classic revives some of our favorite characters, it’s also been confirmed that this family movie will stay true to the franchise. Keanu assures fans of what they can expect from the third installment.

“Over the years it’s been really nice to connect with people who love those characters and those films, and it’s been fun to hear from fans who have become parents who have shown it to their kids. The ebullient spirit of [Bill and Ted], and the humor of the characters in the film, and the adventure they go on – I think it’s still funny.”
