We’re all sick of entitled parents and children. It’s really worrying to see how these children are going to grow as jackasses. But look at this mom who seriously means business when it comes to parenting without surrendering to the kids whining.
Shaketha Marion McGregor is a mother of three; 6-year-old Serinity, 10-year-old Takeia, and 13-year-old Jahkeem. And like any other children at that age, they begin showing interest in literally anything by house chores. So, Shaketha thought of a smart way to get her kids to work if she’s going to grant them what they way anyway.

Shaketha who has to raise her three kids has to deal with a lot of family expenses. Having been separated from her partner, she has to find a way to stop her kids asking for new things they shouldn’t be spending too much on. We can all agree this method will actually teach kids more than they’ll ever realize.
A total of three job positions was made available: lead housekeeper, laundry supervisor, and kitchen manager. And now that all positions are filled, it seems that mom’s business is going pretty well indoor! Serenity even got a bonus for being quick on her feet.
These employees certainly have good prospects!
Studies have repeatedly revealed that kids are always encouraged to be given work that will help them deal with daily activities. By giving them responsibilities, they are also helped to grow up as adults who are responsible for their work.
Julie Lythcott-Haims, former dean of freshmen and undergraduate advising at Stanford University says, “When young people have been expected to roll up their sleeves and pitch in, and to ask how they can contribute to the household, it leads to a mindset of pitching in in other settings, such as the workplace.”
The opposite of that will “deprives them of the satisfaction of applying their effort to a task and accomplishing it.”
