Need A Job? Twitter Calls In Applicants For “Tweeter In Chief” Position
Take up the task of tweeting from @Twitter.
Twitter is currently calling in applicants to apply to become the company’s Tweeter in Chief. The company’s new position, an announcement made live today described the role as one where the employee will “set the tone of who we are, how we act and how to talk to people on Twitter by using @Twitter”.
Specifically, Twitter explained that it want an applicant that is extremely plugged with both Stan and Twitter culture in general, adding that someone inclined with building communities, marketing landscape, resourceful and knowledgeable on how content travels on the platform is the candidate they seek.
“You are a master in the art of Twitter, and want to take that passion and expertise to the ultimate, Meta level of @Twitter. We are committed to an inclusive and diverse Twitter. Twitter is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate based on race, color, ethnicity, ancestry, national origin, religion, gender, sex, gender expression, age, disability, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected status” the job description reads.
While the job description doesn’t depict attaching of personal names to official corporate Tweets, it appears that Twitter is seeking for someone to have fun with its official handle, which is usually mired in yawn-inducing product update minutiae.
That being said, the logic here is however expected to work effectively, as it will improve engagement for Twitter. Twitter might have fundamental issues it needs to work out on how it handles speech, regardless; they may create healthier conversations for the users.
We just hope that whoever takes on the role is able to better communicate why the company makes certain decisions and how it plans to improve. Undoubtedly, Twitter had faces frequent criticism. Among the most concern-consistent critic steamrolled at Twitter is that the management in charge of the platform fundamentally causes confusion and fails it users every day.
With several complaints, the CEO Jack Dorsey had taken in attempts to fixing the issues. We hope this strategy works!!
