OnePlus Aims The Foldable Smartphone Arena With Its Upcoming OnePlus 8
Focus is on OnePlus TV.
The world-wide known Shenzhen-based company now aims at the foldable smartphone arena with an upcoming OnePlus 8 smartphone. After releasing the 2019 top contenders, OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus CEO, Pete Lau – in a recent interview seen by Waterballoon disclosed they will be releasing a folding smartphone as well as other foldable devices soonest.
Similarly, OnePlus also revealed that it will be entering the TV space with OnePlus TV later towards the end of the year, and evidently, this is where the company’s priority lies.
While the top-notch OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro has a killer list of amazing specifications and interestingly a great price of the purchase, foldable devices are now becoming the new cool thing.
You might have used both the Samsung Galaxy Fold and the Huawei Mate X foldable phones, but the OnePlus 8 aimed foldable smartphone is certainly a device to look out for – although Lau utterance in the interview depicts it might however not be happening soon, until fourth quarter 2020.
Nevertheless, Lau has yet to unveil a release date or pricing details for OnePlus 8, but considering the company announced it was working on a OnePlus TV in September 2018 we are hoping to hear more about an official release very soon.
