That’s right. It seems that we don’t have to wait for Samsung S11 to launch to get our hand on the first 64-megapixel camera because Samsung has just announced their Galaxy A70S that will be equipped with one. Launching under mid-range category, we’re excited to see how the pictures taken with this phone are going to raise the standard of phone camera even further.
The phone fits into the $500 budget category, listed at $429 on Amazon for a model with 128 GB internal storage and 6 GB RAM. Once it’s launched, Honor 20 Pro with Sony 48 MP has to hand over the best phone camera title to Samsung.
Earlier this month, Samsung held a meeting that introduces the new sensor comprising of the 0.8µm pixel. Samsung’s camera still has the same incredible light sensitivity and grants it the ability to capture 16-megapixel pictures under low-light conditions and 64-megapixel in the day.
Samsung also explains that its newest technology will now be implemented first on mid-range smartphones before being used in flagship products. It has been their new strategy since 2018 to combat Chinese-based smartphone companies such as Huawei, Oppo, and Xiaomi.
It’s a wise choice for Samsung to quickly adjust themselves, gaining as much leverage as possible following Huawei ban that is wavering a lot of users from continuing to use or purchase a new Huawei gadget.
