Star Trek Picard is Back With Teaser Trailer, Set For Release Later 2019

Available on CBS all access streaming service.

The beloved captain, Sir Patrick Stewart is back in a just released teaser trailer for its upcoming series popularly known as Star Trek: Picard. Set for release later this year and available on CBS all access streaming service platform, the short first teaser trailer gave more focus on an older Jean-Luc Picard.

In the posted clip seen by Waterballon.me, it appears that Picard has finally retired as an admiral in Starfleet, so that he can run his family vineyard in France, but was presumably summoned back into its known role.

“Fifteen years ago, today, you led us out of the darkness. You commanded the greatest rescue armada in history, then the unimaginable. What did that cost you? why did you leave Starfleet admiral? An unknown woman in a voice over in the trailer stated, before a brief view of Picard was shown. It’s however not entirely clear of who she’s speaking to nor what’s she talking about, but there’s a likely chance she might be referring to the destruction of the Romulan Homeworld of Romulus, that occurred as a major event in 2009 Star Trek’s movie.

Nevertheless, whatever might have happened 15years ago seems to have had a huge impact on Picard. We don’t know what transpired, but we will likely discover more when Star Trek: Picard start airing later this year.
