Sylvester Stallone Will Return As Rocky Balboa In ‘Rocky VII’

It’s not the end after all.

Sylvester Stallone was ready to hang up his gloves and let future stars take on the role for the next ‘Rocky’. Back in 2006, he also planned to retire, but Michael Jordan took up the stage to become an ambitious boxer.

“Well, this is probably my last rodeo because… I thought Rocky was over in 2006, and I was very happy with that, and then all of the sudden [pointing to his right off-screen at the film’s star Michael B. Jordan] this young man presented himself and the whole story changed,” said Rocky about 8 months ago in an emotional video he uploaded on Instagram.

Well, to our surprise (not), Stallone confirms that another Rocky movie is on the making! After 40 years of the Philadelphian boxer taking down one opponent after another, Stallone doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. He confirms the seventh movie is in the process of making.

“Rocky meets a young, angry person who got stuck in this country when he comes to see his sister. He takes him into his life, and unbelievable adventures begin, and they wind up south of the border. It’s very, very timely.”

He also speaks of the character he’s lived as in six movies since 1977. “Rocky can’t keep quiet. He just talks and talks and spills his guts. And as a writer, if you do that quite often, it looks as though you’re just lost in the world of exposition.

“But he’s actually saying something, and because of the way he speaks and his naivety and gentle quality, you listen. Rocky can say things that my other characters can never say.”

Fans made it possible, they prevent the end!
