Tom Hiddleston Reveals More On What’s Loki Up To
Really can’t wait for it!
He’s not very well dead yet, well at least not thanks to the time heist in ‘Avengers: Endgame’. If there is one good thing they did right with that time heist, that would be the fact that they brought back Tom Hiddleston and gave him some more.
We’ve long confirmed that Loki is permanently dead in the reality where Tony Stark sacrifices himself to win once more against Thanos from 2014. But he’s alive in the part where he escapes with the stone which was the aftermath of the attack on New York City.
In an answer to an interview with EW for his debut on ‘Betrayal’ which is his first Broadway work, Hiddleston talks about when ‘Loki’ will air exclusively on Disney+ and what the show will be about.
“It’s very, very exciting because in many ways it’s the character you know, but in a context, you’ve never seen him in before. And if I say any more, I’m gonna say too much. So that’s what’s so thrilling — there’s so much to explore that I haven’t yet explored. That’s very exciting,” he said.
Of course, Hiddleston also talked about when and what the show will be about during the comic con panel on SDCC 2019.
“Just about the last thing that happened to him as he got Hulk-smashed. So there’s a lot of psychological evolution that is still yet to happen. [Kevin Feige] has generally shown me what his plans are. I can’t tell you any of them, but it is one of the most exciting creative opportunities I think I’ve ever come across,” Hiddleston said on the panel.
“This is new territory, a new world, new challenges, and I cannot wait to get started.”
Hiddleston is known to portray the god of mischief and this new standalone show of his will reveal how a different Loki will deal and develop after losing the war, but escaping with the stone and to add to that is the fact that Thanos is possibly missing as Tony snapped them into nonexistence.
‘Loki’ is scheduled to arrive on Disney+ in Spring 2021 while his Broadway run preview begins on August 14th before opening on September 5th.
