Tom Holland Finally Talks About Disney And Sony Split
We just hope they’ll stop this whole mess.
Fans are grieving, worrying and angered over the recent dispute on the character Spider-Man. We have only asked one thing: to have Peter Parker join the ‘Avengers’ and so far, his character development since he met Tony Stark up to his death has been so beautiful. We can’t wait to see more of him.
Well, apparently, if you’re expecting more of him by Marvel Studios, that doesn’t seem to be happening. Ever again. Sony has decided to pull out his youngest Spider-Man actor, Tom Holland, to go solo. This left everyone baffled, even the Grandmaster himself.
So, what are we to do? What does Tom Holland think? To be perfectly fair, the first picture he posted was him in a car. We don’t expect him to immediately address a serious issue like his own company decided to pull him from literally world’s most awesome superhero franchise.
But it didn’t take long for him to post something so loving and endearing to the fans: mentor-student image of him with Robert Downey Jr.
During the D23 Expo, we all finally got a response from Holland as he was stepping away to the backstage. Speaking to EW, Holland says that he’d spent “five amazing years” with the MCU.
“I’ve had the time of my life. Who knows what the future holds?”
He continued, “But all I know is that I’m going to continue playing Spider-Man and having the time of my life. It’s going to be so fun, however, we choose to do it. The future for Spider-Man will be different, but it will be equally as awesome and amazing, and we’ll find new ways to make it even cooler.”
Earlier last week, Kevin Feige of Marvel Studios also spoke about the breakup with EW, “I’m feeling about Spider-Man gratitude and joy.” Spider-Man has signed up for five movies with two standalone movies and three with other Avengers.
“It was a dream that I never thought would happen. It was never meant to last forever. We knew there was a finite amount of time that we’d be able to do this, and we told the story we wanted to tell, and I’ll always be thankful for that,” says the boss.
Spider-Man is really far from home right now.
