Studying for a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree at the Virginia Commonwealth University.
Camille Schrier, a 24-Year Biochemist has been honored as the New Miss Virginia after displaying her talents with a science experiment.
The Virginia beauty pageant contestant, Camille Schrier displayed an unusual talent.
With it’s expected that talents displayed at a pageant contest entail singing a song to performing magic, Ms. Schrier came out in a Lab coat and wowed the judges with a performance of the catalytic decomposition (The well-known Hydrogen Peroxide).
Ms. Schrier started by mixing the chemicals carefully into the beakers and concluded her science experiment with an explosive blue and orange foam, which is called the “Elephant Toothpaste reaction.”
Speaking at the contest, Ms. Schrier explained that it was the latest overhaul to the competition, which currently places greater significance on unique talents and social impact over presence that inspired her to register for the pageant circuit once more.
“The progress of the Miss America competition, which reflects greater inclusiveness, and an opportunity to make a difference and win scholarships encouraged me to step forward this year and contest,” Schrier said.
While competitors in Miss America 2.0 will henceforth spend time highlighting their goals and success, Ms. Schrier added: I am more than Miss Virginia. I am Miss Biochemist, Miss Systems Biologist, Miss Future PharmD, is looking toward a pharmaceutical industry career.”
