Falcon And Winter Soldier: Baron Zemo and Sharon Carter Will Return
Two familiar characters are returning for the mini-series.
Two familiar characters are returning for the mini-series.
Marvel Studios have revealed that they have offered Daniel Brühl and Emily VanCamp to return to reprise the same role in Marvel. Daniel Brühl played the vengeful Baron “Helmut” Zemo while Emily VanCamp appeared in two movies as Agent Carter; Civil War and Winter Soldier.
These two prominent actors in the Winter Soldier and Civil War comics are set to return in the mini-series that will be made streamable on Disney+.
Fans were pretty hopeful that they would refer to Zemo as Baron Zemo, his original villain name. Rather than a villain, Zemo’s role in Civil War was simply igniting an old grudge by revealing the truth of the three superheroes of Stark’s past life. His suicide attempt was foiled by Black Panther.
Meanwhile, Agent Carter is Agent 13 who works under Everett Ross, played by Morgan Freeman, as part of Joint Terrorism Task Force.
Sebastian Stan showed his interest in exploring more of Ed Brubaker’s Winter Soldier.
“That was my favorite stuff, and it was just really great to get to do some of that in the movies, and you know, I would love… I always say this all the time but I think it would be really interesting to see like the whole Winter Soldier that we haven’t seen yet. If you think about it, he had a whole other life sort of as this ulterior ego so to speak.
“Like when you see the Winter Soldier now he’s sort of like a machine in the movies, but before that, there was actually a real character there, and that was the character that had friendship with Black Widow. But you know, we’ll see what happens.”
According to the comic, Winter Soldier was the person who trained Black Widow and it might be interesting to see this intertwining fact to be mentioned in either the new Black Widow standalone movie or the mini-series of Falcon & Winter Soldier.
