Marine Goes Viral For Merman Photoshoot To Make Deployed Pals Laugh
A U.S Marine stationed in Florida has gone viral for posting a Merman outfit to cheer up troops deployed overseas.
Beau Shepherd, the tattooed Serviceman was seen with a blue and gold tail as well as with a camouflage hat for a shoot.
Shepherd had approached Jacqueline Elliott – a photographer and has had an arrangement for a shoot where props were incorporated as inside jokes.
Sharing the snaps by Elliot, on her Facebook page, comments witnessed as at weekend had over 4,500 shares. But were taken down due to his superior officers.
The Marine Picture however, made his child and wife, Alicia giggles.
“My daughter thought it was cool and funny, so now she will always have a pic of me as a merman.
After seeing the original post go viral she shared a link to the images hosted on her own website and declared: ‘who needs mermaids when you have mermen?!’ Elliott revealed.
‘I am so glad it made people laugh and smile! Life is so short… take time to laugh and enjoy the humor! I love my job that I get to make magic and bring people together with photography!’ he added.
Speaking to WDRB about that shoot, Shepherd stated “well my job in the Marines is amphibious, as in we move from sea to land, so I wanted to include that.
I mainly wanted something as a joke to my Marine buddies that would make them laugh at the ridiculousness of it all”.
