Terry Crews Thinks He Would Be Perfect To Play King Triton In Live-Action ‘Little Mermaid’

Ariel sang alongside her sister in the movie ‘A Wrinkle In Time.

Currently keeping his body in shape for White Chicks 2’, Terry Crews has also declared his intention in joining the Mermaid community.

Terry, who had taken to his Twitter Page at Weekend disclosing his intentions had shared a photo-shopped picture of himself acting as King Triton in the Little Mermaid film.

Captioned with ‘Ariel’ Dad!!!#ArielGotTerry#AmericasGotTerry, Disney is however more focused with The Little Mermaid film since it has wrapped up the live action Aladdin and the Lion King.

Accordingly, Twitter Users were also on board with the proposed new role for the Brooklyn Nine-Nine star. One Twitter user said, ‘ I don’t like Disney Live-action remakes, but will watch this one if this were to happen.’

Another Twitter user said, ‘Well, okay, but only if there’s a scene where he beats up Ursula, using no weapon but his pecs.’

A few days back, Halle Bailey had officially been announced would be playing Ariel in the Little Mermaid Remake. The announcement got the Media on fire with a comment on Why Disney didn’t choose a white actress for the role of Ariel.

Terry and wife Rebecca King-Crews enjoyed the festivities at the 25th annual Essence Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Some fans even further to proving with science on why Ariel should be a white rather than a black actress.

‘The mythological creatures are usually white because they live underwater. They have less melanin, which allows them to have lighter skin color,’ Mermaid Science said.

Halle Bailey had officially been announced would be playing Ariel in the Little Mermaid Remake.

Halle Bailey is however not new to Disney.

In 2018, she sang alongside her sister in the movie ‘A Wrinkle In Time.’ She has also appeared in the spinoff Grown-ish and in Black-ish.
