Vans Plan To Release A Frida Kahlo Inspired Collection To Honour The Legendary Painter
Available at selected Vault dealer stores.
Today, 29 June 2019, Vault By Vans is planning to release a new-art inspired collection that will feature colorful sneaker styles decorated with a Frida Kahlo’s Painting.
Initially, the Skate Brand Vans have been known for collaborating with several artists and brand to generate collections that speak about art and culture.
Just last year, the Vans released an epic collection with the Van Gogh Museum. It permitted fans to wear his art from head to head.
Tagged as the OG Authentic LX shoe, the new design features a watermelon print from Frida’s La Vida painting (1954), and from her OG Slip-ON LX celebrate her Iconic painting Self-portraits with the Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird (1940).
While it will be available at selected Vault dealer stores, the limited edition Vault by Vans & Frida Kahlo Collection is set for launch today.

However, the colorful sneaker collection honors the art and life of a Mexican artist, who is widely recognized for natured inclined works and self-portraits.
Specifically, three of Van’s designs have now been updated to honor the Frida Kahlo’s artwork to including the OG SK8-Hi LX which featured one of the artist’s well-recognized portraits, titled: The Two Fridas (1939).
