Wesley Snipes: “Chillaaxx” To Fans Concerned Of Mahershala Ali Being The New Blade

SDCC 2019 brought about clarifications on Phase 4 of Marve movies and feature a new line of superheroes. But among them, another reboot is bringing a particular group of fans elated – ‘Blade’ is happening!

Along with that, Feige also confirmed that Mahershala Ali will play as the new half-human and half-vampire, famously known as the Daywalker. But not everyone is completely elated because of Wesley Snipes. The one and original Blade that we’ve all got used to, what’s going to happen to him?

Some people were resistant towards the new cast, believing there will only be one Blade and that is not Ali. Meanwhile, we can all agree that Ali is a talented artist who will definitely do justice for Blade.

The original ‘Blade’ ran for three movies since 1998 with a second movie in 2002 and the third and final ‘Trinity’ in 2004. It’s been 15 years since then.

What made Snipes so popular was that he did some of the stunts on his own for being a martial artist. And here’s what Snipes has to say about it:

“To all the DAYWALKERS losing their minds right now, chillaaxx.

Although the news comes as a surprise, it’s ALL GOOD. Such is the ‘business’ of ‘entertainment!’ Much peace to the MCU crew – always a fan,” Snipes says. “Honor and respect to the grandmaster Stan. Congratulations and Salaam to Mahershala Ali, a beautiful and talented artist whose expressions I look forward to experiencing for many years to come. Inshallah, we will someday work together. Most importantly to my loyal fans, the incredible outpouring of love is overwhelming. I am grateful for the never-ending support.

So, ‘nah fret nah worry, it’s not de end of de story.’ Welcome to the Daywalker Klique.”

He also reassured his fans on his Twitter by uploading a video of him giving his killing one-liners.

Ali also pays his respect to the first-ever person to portray Blade and the reason people loved it and how the remake is possible. On his Instagram, Ali uploaded a picture of Snipes as Blade while tagging him on the caption.

So, it’s safe to say that we’re all cool and chill. If you’re not yet, take a chill pill, kick back and relax because we know Ali will do justice to Blade and the only thing we can ask for is this: give Snipes a role to make the movie ten times better.

SDCC 2019 also confirmed things like ‘Black Widow’ prequel, ‘Shang-chi And The Legend of The Ten Rings’, ‘Thor: Love And Thunder’ as well as other Disney+ series.
