Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Filming For Black Adam Might Start The End Of Next Year
At least an update.
Dwayne Johnson is currently on a press tour around the world promoting his ‘Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw’ with co-star Jason Statham. To be more exact, he’s currently in Beijing and it’s finally wrapping up for one of the most successful Universal Studio franchise.
Up next is ‘Jumanji: The Next Level’ where he plays Spencer who will probably get sucked up into the game world again as Dr. Bravestone. The filming for that movie wrapped up on May 14 and its official teaser is out with the release date confirmed this December.
So we can be sure that Johnson will be pre-occupied at the end of this year for his movie, holiday times with family and gym. Throughout May, he was also shooting for Disney’s ‘Jungle Cruise’.
He’s a damn busy man this year and for at least the next year as well since ‘Jungle Cruise’ will air on Summer 2020. Don’t forget about ‘Red Notice’ by Netflix where he’s set to work with Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds.
Producer Hiram Garcia says that production is beginning next year as they were motivated by the success of ‘Shazam!’. The team finally confirmed when filming will begin, “The idea is that if everything falls in line right now… the plan is to be filming that end of next year.”
Jaume Collet-Serra is confirmed to return as the director and along with that, we might get a crossover between ‘Shazam!’ and ‘Black Adam’ as well. “We’ll definitely [cross over] — the plan is to get there, but just to pace it out however it needs to pace out,” says Zachary Levi.
It still feels like it’s so far away, but hey, at least reboot ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ is coming up this November, so let’s appease ourselves with Gal Gadot’s awesome action!
