Muschietti Revealing The Chances of ‘It Chapter 3’ Coming Soon
Will a third one ever happen?
September 9 is the date Pennywise comes to the theater to scare the hell out of us in ‘It Chapter 2’ one more time. Fulfilling his own promise to haunt the imaginary city of Derry, Maine, the story will see the grown-up kids ending the attack one last time.
But just like any other good movies, no one wants it to be ‘one last time’, no matter how long the movie was. The team behind the movie, director Andy Muschietti, and producer Barbara Muschietti will probably be faced with more offer and request for more of ‘It’ and Pennywise by Warner Bros. Will they answer to that request?
If you really don’t want to be spoiled even an inch – do not go further than this! (Or just scroll real quick to the end of the article for the TL;DR)
Spoiler warning!
“There is whole mythology to the book though. Mythology is something that always has opportunities to explore. It has been on Earth for millions of years. He’s been in contact with humans for hundreds of years, every 27 years. So you can imagine the amount of material,” says Andy.
‘It: Chapter 2’ finally gives fans the chance to get to know more about the villain of the series. He has been in Derry, Maine for a really long time, joining the circus and ends up as possibly the world’s most terrifying clown.
“It’s always exciting to think of eventually exploring this mythology. It’s very exciting. But, for now, there’s nothing on the table,” which is also followed with a strong answer, “Yeah, no.”
TL;DR & Spoiler Aversion
No ‘It: Chapter 3’ will be made at least anytime soon, but it’s you feel downcast about this, we have a small easter egg that some fans have pointed out on how producers set the release date. Pennywise appears every 27 years, so here you go:
The first movie was released on 8/9/2017. If you add all of the numerical numbers on the date: 8+9+2+0+1+7=27.
The second movie, set for release on 6/9/2019. Do the same thing by adding the numerical numbers on the date and you will get: 6+9+2+0+1+9=27.
Coincidence? Well, it’d actually be really scary if it is. But we’re pretty sure that Warner Bros had this in purpose.
