Queen Cersei, Lena Heady, Wanted A “Better Death” For Her Character

…well,we know the taboo word. BRICKS.

Without a doubt, people set a really high bar of expectation for the finale of ‘Game of Thrones’. Season 8 began with a grand battle that extends for 40 minutes with 80% of them happening in the darkness of the night. It was epic, at least for those who managed to see it.

A lot of characters also gained their closures in this season, for better or worse.

But towards the end of the series, people kept stumbling upon reasons to not like the final season of the series. It all began from the misplaced cup of coffee that shows how unprofessional the crews were. And then Daenerys who decided to **** all common sense and burned the city to the ground.

Amidst the chaotic slaughter from the Mother of Dragons, Cersei tried to escape and Jaime tried to get her out of the castle. While they managed to get rid of each of their own enemies, eventually, the two met their demise as the Red Keep fell.

Jaime and Cersei Lannister were killed by bricks as a result of Dany’s lash of anger.

Some people got out of the show with regrets, disappointment and even anger. Others were satisfied and glad that the series ended the way it did.

So, what did Cersei’s actress, Lena Heady thinks about her timely death?

During her interview with The Guardian, Heady speaks out her discontent with her death. “I will say I wanted a better death,” she said. “Obviously you dream of your death. You could go in any way on that show. So I was kind of gutted. But I just think they couldn’t have pleased everyone. No matter what they did, I think there was going to be some big comedown from the climb.”
