Woman Claims She No Longer Need Solid Food Because She’s A ‘Breatharian’

Breathing is enough for nutrition. For her, to say the least.

We all achieve to own an ideal body that is not just curvy and sexy, but also healthy. Well, what’s a more logical solution to that than eating more vegetables and exercising more?

According to Audra, your solution is to breathe more. And stop eating. Completely.

Audra Bear is a 25-year-old American woman from Minneapolis who have decided to go for liquid food instead of solid because she doesn’t need it. She believes that ‘prana’ is a type of energy that we get when we breathe and if you do it right, you don’t really need solid food to be alive and healthy.

Which is a lot of weirdness in a lot of beauty, but she has been keeping her Instagram page filled with positive vibes of her new lifestyle.

Audra explains what prana is:

“Prana is another word for energy, also known as Qi or Chi. It is a life-giving force that flows in, through and around all things, it’s in the air we breathe, the sunshine, nature, connections with people and all living things.

“It is a powerful energy that actually has the ability to fuel and sustain us as humans.

“Living a pranic lifestyle is about shifting your focus from nourishing your body with denser sources (food) to less dense sources (energy), all the while keeping in mind that food is not bad, you can enjoy food if you want to.”

Audra does breathing exercises for 40 minutes every day and this, she claims, has allowed her to live out of teas, smoothies, and juices. In one of her post, she explains, “Breathwork is the base of healing and detoxification for the physical and emotional body.”

“The more I breathe, the less I need,” she says in another. Basically, the dream of all of us.

Audra also claims that she has been on this lifestyle for at least more than 6 months. She juices her own veggies and visits Whole Foods market for her liquidation needs, but here’s the takeaway – she’s not always on liquid and solid food is still in her menu.

“I do eat on occasion, but most days consist of herbal teas, fresh coconut waters, green juices & fruit smoothies, or sometimes nothing at all,” admits Audra in one of her posts.

She also says that she feels “lighter and happier” every day since her new breatharianism took over her lifestyle. In addition to that, she is also (obviously) a vegan and a yoga enthusiast. She does a lot of routines and poses on her Instagram page.

She also went on a fast that lasted 97 days and only had puréed fruit and vegetables during that time. This time, she claims that breathing is the only nourishment she needs. While she still has normal meals with friends and family, it’s pretty interesting to see how everything will turn out.

A nutrition specialist warns against this lifestyle, explaining that oxygen contains nothing nourishing to the human body. No studies have proven this and basically, you might actually suffer from undernourishment.

“By only consuming one food group such as fruit and vegetables, in a specific way such as juicing, without balancing it with other food groups, is not healthy and can be harmful if sustained over time.”

So, what do you think? Is it worth it? Is it not? Time will tell what happens and while we don’t endorse any form of the diet, it’s better to take ‘claims’ like this with a grain of salt.

Stay happy and healthy, guys!
